Merrybelle & Patrick’s Summer wedding took place on an amazing July day at Vineyards at Betty’s Creek in Sylva, North Carolina. If you have never seen this venue, it is worth a peek! No matter what the season, it is beautiful. Did I mention Tracey and her staff there are just as wonderful?
When the couple came to me, they envisioned a wedding nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains.. They wanted to incorporate the beautiful and abundant setting at Betty’s Creek into their weekend as much as they could. They also wanted their friends and family to eat great food (check), enjoy good drinks (check) and to have details that reflected Merrybelle’s Chinese roots (check).
It was important for them to incorporate their friends and loved ones as much as possible. For example, a good friend played music during the ceremony and another good friend officiated the wedding. When it came to food, Black-eyed Susan Catering offered a bounty of locally sourced Summer foods, served family-style, which was a nod to her Chinese heritage. They also hosted an awesome whiskey bar that served up some Chinese varieties as well.Â
The couple said their main goal was “to throw an amazing party for all of the people we love most so we can celebrate our happiness together!” And to that, I say “Well done you two! It was beautiful!”
