Nicholas & Lindsey’s Grand Highlands wedding at Bear Wallow took place in August. Grand Highlands Bear Wallow is located in beautiful Hendersonville, NC. Set on top of a mountain, it offered a stunning backdrop for the couple’s big day. They celebrated with 100 of their closest friends and family, some of whom traveled all the way from the Philippines to be there.
The couple wanted to showcase the delicious food, flowers and gorgeous natural setting the area is known for in the Summer. Lindsey, who’s creativity still leaves me in awe, came up with woodland theme that reminded me of something you would find in a vintage storybook. The space was decorated with an array of local flowers, touches of moss, gold creatures and dreamy paper goods (be sure to see the menu cards) that Lindsey designed herself. It was so sweet! When it came to food, it was obvious that Saffron Catering (who also own Asheville’s amazing Homegrown) was the perfect choice. Saffron is known for designing menus that are designed around the season and local farms.
