Sarah & Fletcher’s Fall Wedding in the Blue Ridge Mountains

Sarah and Fletcher had no doubt they wanted to host their Fall wedding in the mountains of Asheville, North Carolina. The groom’s family has a second home in the area and some of their favorite memories have been spent here. It only made sense that this special memory be made here too.

Sarah’s faith is important to her, so they chose the historic Basilica Saint Lawrence in Downtown Asheville for the ceremony. Sarah carried both her family bible (that her family all signed on their own wedding day) and a rosary. Following the ceremony, guest headed to The Ridge (now closed) to celebrate the couple and dance the night away!

Despite earlier rain, the weather cleared for an amazing Fall evening. Surrounded by the mountains and and Fall foliage, guests enjoyed a delicious dinner by Catering by Corey and decadent dessert from from Fifty. The Life Atlantic Band kept the dancefloor full while The Ridge kept the drinks full. As the evening drew to a close, their sparkler exit provided a fitting end to a prefect day. Thank you Boonetown Story for catching this day so perfectly!

A small note, this wedding was pretty special to me. In 2016 I helped the groom’s sister plan her wedding here in Asheville at Claxton Farm. It is beyond an honor when a family calls and asked you to help a second time. The bride and groom were newly dating in 2016 when I met them, so to plan their wedding several years later was a true honor.

Thank you to ALL the amazing team members that made this happen.
